This novelette isn t exactly a sequel to Ms Monajem s Notorious Eliza but is taken from a scene in that story in which the hero, Patrick, goes to propose to a young woman but is so appalled by her treatment of her maid that he changes his mind Arabella was the young woman and it s a good thing for Matthew
